Progress!

The smiling thing has been working great, especially in conjunction with extended eye contact. It's surprising what lengths people will go to in order to avoid eye contact, though. Even eye contact with a handsome devil such as myself. People are strange, insecure creatures, I tell ya.

What I need to work on now is my "hi." It never comes off very loud at all, it's almost like a soft whispered "hi." I guess that's my unassuming nature, but I really need to get assertive if I'm going to be saying "hi" to people since I've smiled and made eye contact with them and all. Especially the good looking female-type people. Because really, that's what I'm all about, you know.

Ran before the workout. Thanks to Matt for being late! I even blogged today! I am being positive about things! This new year is starting off great!

I'm here to help you in any way I can. If that means being late, then that is what I will do.

We're brothers.

Not by blood, mind you. In spirit.

I don't like my "hi" either. Sometimes I skip the "hi" and say "how are you" as my greeting. Puts the ball in *their* court. Hah. Or, if it's morning, "good morning" is nice.

I think you may be on to something with the '06 missions. I am confused about you "getting through that period" and matt being "late". Is matt pregnant? Anyway, give me a V E G A S!!!!

Piu & I were just talking about how nervous people get when you make eye contact with them. I'll have to remind her to smile so she doesn't look "crazy" (her word, honestly. She's in the UK so she can't defend herself).

You could just practice the ubiquitous head nod instead of saying anything. Or that other gem, "hey."
