Another weekend down the tubes!
Yeah, that whole Jaguars thing didn't work out too well this weekend, did it? I'm glad I didn't have any money on the line for that one (unlike USC) so I can't complain too much other than the football season is now officially over for me. It could always be worse, I could be Carson Palmer. Ouch.
In other news, I saw The Chronic(what)cles of Narnia on Friday. It was good, but it was also a bit slow, which is odd considering it's generally a kids' movie. I guess that's the problem with an adaptation that follows too closely to the book. The worst problem, though, is it's missing the epic feel of The Lord Of The Rings and the humor and personality of the Harry Potter series. It seems to fall into an area where it's better than most fantasy-type films but falls short of the best the genre has to offer. Weird that the younger kid actors were much, much better than the older two, also. Go figure. I'd give it 3 out of 4 stars. Not a waste of time, but there's probably better to see out there. At least it inadvertently gave us one of the better SNL skits in ages...
My mom & sister are in town right now. Just a dinner, leave in the morning thing. Always good to see Hill, though. She wanted to meet Caz's fiance, and since she won't be around until the wedding at the end of the year, this might be her only chance. That's the life of a jet-setter, I guess.
That's all I really have to say. Got a couple things in the hopper for you, one that's been waiting about a month to get refined and actually posted since I want to do it right and another that just kind of happened and now I need to decide what to do about it. But those things can wait since it's almost bedtime for me. It's a school night, after all.
