The official "24" drinking game!

I've mentioned it before somewhere, but now I am going to lay out the official rules for The 24 Drinking Game. After 4.2083 seasons of the show, I have it pretty much figured out. Feel free to add any you think I may have missed in the comments.
  • Drink any time Jack says, "DAMMIT!" Drink twice if anyone else says it. This is where the game started, of course.
  • Drink any time somebody dies.
  • Drink twice if Jack killed them.
  • Drink five times if Chloe killed them.
  • Drink any time anyone answers a cell phone.
  • Drink again when they snap their cell phone shut.
  • Drink 20 times if they say, "goodbye," "see ya," "later," "adios," or any sort of farewell (this will never happen.)
  • Drink only once if they end with, "I'll be in touch," or "I'll get right back to you."
  • Drink any time somebody says, "There's no time!" or "I need more time!" or some variation thereof. If they hang up a phone after saying this, drink twice.
  • Drink whenever an annoying teenager is put in peril.
  • Drink any time a computer techie person mentions opening a socket or their level of security clearance.
  • Drink whenever Chloe gives a pouty frown with her lower lip stuck out.
  • Drink whenever Jack starts a sentence with, "Just tell me..."
  • Drink twice if he's shouting it.
  • Drink whenever someone is revealed to be working for the enemy.
  • Drink when it's revealed that it was really someone else who was the mole.
  • Drink whenever Jack disagrees with what the CTU Director tells him to do.
  • Drink again when Jack is proven correct.
  • Drink 20 times if Jack is proven incorrect (this will never happen.)
  • Drink 20 times if you see someone eating a meal (this will never happen.)
  • Drink 20 times if someone is using the bathroom for anything other than a clandestine phone call (this has only happened once.)
  • Call in to work at 10:01, tell them you won't be in on Tuesday.
God, I love this show so much.

I think I might have just gotten drunk while simply reading these rules.

Alas for me: No cable, No 24. I'll have to stick with just Lost, House and the 17 derivations of Law & Order.

I have to wonder though if we're seeing a trend of young movie stars from the Eighties coming back with hit shows on cable. First was Anthony Michael Hall in Dead Zone then Sutherland in 24.

I keep expecting for Spike TV to premier some action/drama starring Judd Nelson as a soldier of fortune or something.

What? No floating text?? I am utterly disappointed. ;)

That's like the first damn thing I look for, too.....

Those who are drunk just from reading are lightweights. I'm just sayin'.

Mr. Mosley, I don't have cable either. 24 is on Fox Monday nights at 9. If you can watch House, you can watch 24. I'm just sayin'.

Holly, I'm glad you found an alternative to borrowing those discs from me. Not that I wouldn't have loaned them to you, since I know you wouldn't run them over with your car or anything. I'm just sayin'.

Mark, sorry about the floaty text. I banged this one out quick, it was getting late and that part completely slipped my mind. It will be added once I get home, so all the more incentive to check back again. Um, I'm just sayin'?

Maki, you need to post again. You're slacking on your New Year's missions.

I currently have no internet or home phone because BellSouth and Safetouch Security both hate me. I can't post from work, either. It only lets me comment. Which sucks.

I'll have a post ready if I ever get real internet access again. Apologies for the delay...

That is an ingenious game. I got the first 2 seasons on DVD for $16 a piece and am a tad past halfway through season 1. Awesome show.

BTW, I'm gonna post the list on my new blog, if you don't mind. I'll give you credit for thinking of it, of course. :-p

Looking forward to more!
